Care and handling

Every artwork is produced on museum-grade cotton paper with archival pigment inks. Preserve your Artworks over time by following these gallery standards.

Unframed Fine Art Prints

  • Handling

Wash your hands or wear clean cotton gloves before touching the print. Hold the print by two opposite edges and keep fingers off the printed surface. Never lay a print face down.

  • If your print arrives rolled

Never counter-roll it to speed up flattening. Lay it face up on a clean, flat surface, leave the protective tissue in place, and weigh the corners down with light, flat objects (e.g books) for 24 hours.

  • Dusting

Use a photographic air blower to remove dust from the printed surface. Never wipe an unframed print with a cloth, however soft; even microfibre can leave micro-abrasions on cotton paper.

Dibond Mounted

  • Handling

Carry the panel by its edges with both hands, without pressing on the front face. If you need to set it down before hanging, rest it on its bottom edge with the printed side facing the room.

  • Hanging

Use the fixing system supplied on the back, with wall hardware rated for the panel's weight. Keep it away from radiators and
from air-conditioning vents blowing directly onto the surface.

  • Cleaning

Remove dust with a photographic air blower first. If needed, follow with a dry microfibre cloth in light strokes. No liquids, no sprays, no household cleaners on the printed surface.

Framed Artworks

  • Handling

Lift the frame by both side rails, never by the top rail alone. Avoid any pressure on the acrylic.

  • Installation

Use wall fixings rated for the frame's weight, with two hanging points for larger formats. Leave a small gap of ~1 cm behind the frame for air circulation, and avoid hanging above a radiator or fireplace.

  • Cleaning

Use a cleaner formulated for acrylic, or simply a barely damp microfibre cloth. Spray onto the cloth, never onto the glazing. No alcohol, no ammonia, no paper towels.
