Frequently Asked Questions

How are the prints made?

Prints and framing are made to order in Dubai by a Hahnemühle Certified Studio, on Hahnemühle Fine Art papers. Nothing is held in stock.

Four formats are available, each as a print on its own, mounted on Dibond, or framed.

Are the prints limited editions?

No. Our prints are open editions, produced to order rather than in fixed runs. It is a deliberate choice: a limited edition sells scarcity, and scarcity is the opposite of what we are trying to do. The more prints we sell, the more surgery we fund.

Which finish should I choose?

Every artwork is available three ways: as a print on its own, mounted on Dibond, or framed. Each has a different look, weight and price. Our Finishes page sets out what each one is, how it hangs, and where it works best.

Why do prices differ between countries?

Prices vary between countries because local VAT rates differ. Whatever the destination, the price shown on the page is the price you pay: VAT and import duties are included, and there is nothing to settle on delivery. If a carrier ever asks you for a payment, do not pay it, contact us at info@artsight.org and we will handle it. Shipping is calculated separately at checkout.

Where do you ship, and how long does it take?

We ship print-only orders internationally. You can check whether we deliver to your country using the country selector at the bottom of any page. Framed and Dibond Mounted pieces are available in the UAE only for now.

Because each piece is produced to order, allow 3 to 5 working days for production. Delivery is typically within 3 days of dispatch in the UAE, and 7 days internationally. Full timelines are set out in our Shipping and Delivery policy.

How will my print arrive?

Prints in the two smaller formats ship flat, protected between rigid boards. Larger formats ship rolled in a tube: unroll the print on a clean flat surface and leave it to settle for a day before framing. Framed and Dibond pieces ship in reinforced packaging designed for their weight.

Our packaging is made from recyclable cardboard and paper, and we avoid plastic wherever the piece allows it.

Can I cancel or return my order?

You can cancel free of charge within 12 hours of ordering, provided production has not started. If you are ordering from the EU, you also have a 14-day right of withdrawal; return shipping is at your expense. If your print arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, tell us within 30 days and we will reprint it, or refund you if a reprint is not possible. Full details are in our Returns and Refunds policy.

Is ArtSight a charity?

No. ArtSight is a socially driven company selling fine art photography artworks. We do not raise funds, and we do not collect donations from the public. We give a fixed share of what we earn to a partner foundation that funds cataract surgery. Sight is a cause close to us as photographers.

How does the donation work exactly?

ArtSight donates at least 20% of the price of every artwork sold (before VAT and shipping), out of its own revenue.

Some artists go further and choose a lower royalty, letting the difference go to the partner foundation.

Who receives the donation?

ArtSight donates to a UAE-licensed charitable organisation that funds sight-restoring surgery and eye care programmes for people who cannot afford them. Its charitable activities are licensed by Dubai's Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department.

How do I know the donation really happens?

The exact amount donated for your order, and the name of the foundation receiving it, are stated in your order confirmation email, so you see both on every purchase.

ArtSight is authorised to make these donations by Dubai's Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), the authority that regulates charitable activity in Dubai. You can verify this on the official IACAD page: Verify ArtSight's authorisation on IACAD. The same link and a QR code are included in every order confirmation email.

Donations are pooled and transferred to the foundation every quarter. Each transfer is documented and reconciled with the foundation, and ArtSight keeps a full ledger of every contribution, order by order.

Will I receive a donation certificate or a tax receipt?

You are buying an artwork, not making a donation, so no donation certificate is issued and the amount is not tax deductible for you. The donation is made by ArtSight, out of ArtSight's revenue.

I am a photographer. How do I join ArtSight?

We are always open to working with new photographers. Every sale contributes to funding cataract surgery, and artists are paid a royalty on every print sold. Terms depend on whether you join as an established or emerging artist, and we set them out when we discuss your work.

Head to the Join the Cause page to submit your work.
