FAQ
Everything you might want to know about how ArtSight works: the art, the artists, and where your money goes.
Frequently asked questions
Is ArtSight a charity?
No. ArtSight is a socially driven company registered in Dubai as ArtSight LLC-FZ, in the Meydan Free Zone. We sell fine art photography prints, and we donate a fixed share of our own revenue to restoring sight. We do not fundraise, and we do not collect donations on anyone's behalf. When you buy a print, you are buying art from a company that has chosen to give part of what it earns.
How does the 20% work exactly?
ArtSight donates 20% of the price of every artwork sold. It comes out of our own revenue: it is never added on top of your price, and it is never taken out of the artist's royalty.
The 20% is calculated on the artwork alone, excluding VAT, import charges and shipping. Framing and Dibond mounting are part of that base. If an item is discounted, the contribution is still calculated on its full price; the discount comes out of ArtSight's share, not out of the donation.
Some works generate a second contribution. Our reference royalty is 40% of the print-only price. Where an artist has agreed a lower rate, ArtSight does not keep the difference; it goes to the Noor Dubai Foundation as well. A heart beside the artist's name marks those works.
Who receives the donation?
The Noor Dubai Foundation, a UAE organisation that funds sight-restoring surgeries and eye care programmes for people who cannot afford them. It is a recognised Qualifying Public Benefit Entity in the United Arab Emirates.
Our long-term commitment is to help fund 10,000 surgeries by 2035.
How do I know the donation really happens?
The amount your order generated is stated in your order confirmation email, so you see it on every purchase.
Contributions are pooled and transferred to the Noor Dubai Foundation every quarter, funding one surgery campaign at a time rather than being scattered in small amounts. Pooling makes each transfer meaningful and each campaign traceable.
Will I receive a donation certificate or a tax receipt?
No, and this matters legally. You are buying a product, not making a donation, so no donation certificate is issued and the amount is not tax deductible for you. The donation is made by ArtSight, from ArtSight's revenue.
What you do receive is the exact amount your purchase generated, stated in your order confirmation.
How are the prints made?
Every print is made to order, so nothing is mass produced and nothing sits in a warehouse. Files are supplied at 300 DPI for the size ordered.
Available formats are 20x30, 30x45, 40x60 and 60x90 cm, as a print on its own or framed. Framed pieces use a slim black aluminium frame with a 5 cm acid-free white mat.
Where do you ship, and how long does it take?
We currently ship within the United Arab Emirates, with international destinations opening progressively.
Because each piece is produced for you, allow production time before dispatch. Current timelines are set out in our Shipping and Delivery policy.
Can I cancel or return my order?
You can cancel free of charge within 12 hours of ordering, provided production has not started.
After that, because each piece is made to order, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns. If your print arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, tell us within 30 days: we will reprint it, and refund you if a reprint is not possible. Full details are in our Returns and Refunds policy.
I am a photographer. How do I join ArtSight?
We are always looking for photographers whose work belongs on a wall and who want their images to do something beyond decoration.
